Coupled-cluster theory is highly regarded as the gold-standard of quantum chemistry due to its robustness and accuracy. In this talk, I will discuss the general aspects of coupled-cluster theory as applied to the many-electron problem followed by some of our most recent contributions to explicitly time-dependent coupled-cluster theory. In special, I will focus on the time-domain solution of the equation-of-motion coupled-cluster equations relevant to the absorption spectroscopy of molecular systems in the linear regime.
